The Crew

The Lockbourne layout is a project primarily undertaken by Willy Monaghan and Larry Janeski. They have developed the "Lockbourne" story by studying historical records of the area and extant structures around Ohio.

Willy has his own home layout that models the route of the Delaware & Hudson Canal from Honesdale, Pennsylvania to the slack water navigation across the Delaware River to the terminal and access to the Hudson River at Rondout, New York. This gave him both the experience of modeling canals as well as modeling turn-of-the-last-century. The latter being a challenge in any modeling scale.

In addition to his work at the Louisiana Steam Train Association and the New Orleans City Park train garden, Larry's home S-scale layout models the New York Central System's Manhattan High Line from the 30th Street Yard to the Parcel Post Building. While making its elevated right-of-way snaking through urban scenery, and his creation of multiple modular show layouts, Larry has developed the skills required to build and operate Lockbourne's modular system.
